Terms and conditions

All equipment remains the property of Rob Van Helden Floral Design Ltd. / RVH Prop Hire
Payment must be made before collection.
A hire deposit will be taken and if there are no damages or items missing, this will be returned in full. If items are damaged or missing, you will be informed of this and the cost will be taken off the deposit. Any remaining monies will be refunded.
Payment can be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card.
The hirer is responsible for insuring goods from the time of acceptance until returned to our premises.
Queries on hired items received, must be made within 24 hours.
All goods will be hired out clean and ready to use. If they are returned dirty, covered in wax, a washing charge of up to 50% of the original hire charge will be made, depending on the amount of work involved.
After items have been returned and checked by our staff, shortages or damaged goods will be charged at replacement cost. Customer goods cannot be accepted as replacement.
Prices quoted are for 4 days hire only and are subject to V.A.T.
Items returned late, are subject to an additional charge.
Extended hire terms/ charges are available upon request.
All boxes or crates to be returned dry and intact. Any missing boxes or crates will be charged at a replacement cost.
Any deliveries made by us or courier will be to main door, ground level entrance, unless pre-arranged. An additional charge will be added in respect of waiting time should the driver be delayed or detained while attempting to deliver or collect.
Rob Van Helden Floral Design Ltd. is under no liability whatsoever for any injury or damage to persons or property or loss of profit claimed by the hirer in respect of any interruptions, delays, inaccuracies, errors, omissions or any failure to deliver or from the use of any equipment under hire.
Cancellation of orders within 48 hours of date of hire are chargeable at 50% of the full hire charge. On the day cancellations are chargeable at 100%.
We reserve the right to change any price without the need to give prior notice.
RVH Prop Hire does not supply insurance cover, risk assessments or method statements for any hired items.
Any refunds may be subject to a £20.00 administration fee.

Rob Van Helden Floral Design Limited ("we" or "us") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, and to keeping your personal data safe and confidential.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, is processed by us.

Information we collect from you

Customers

We collect and process the following data in order to be able to send you quotes, orders and invoices: Company name (if applicable), named contact, billing address, phone number(s), billing email address.

To provide you with an account, we also store the above data as well as your encrypted password plus a record of your orders.

We also collect and process the following data in order to be able to deliver your orders and collect them afterwards: Date of your event, Company name, venue name, named contact and mobile number on site, address for delivery and collection

General enquiries

Emails sent to our Company email addresses or via our website are stored as correspondence so that we may answer your enquiry..

Data storage

Sending data via the internet is never entirely secure, and although we will do our best to protect your personal data once we have received it, we cannot guarantee the security of your data whilst in transmission. Once we receive your information, we use procedures and systems designed to try to prevent unauthorised access wherever possible. All information you provide to us via the website is stored on our secure servers; all data we process within our office is protected with a secure network.

Disclosure of your information

We will not disclose your information to any third parties unless strictly necessary. For the purposes of providing your quotes and orders, and to meet our legal obligations, we may from time to time need to share the data we hold with service providers and the suppliers who provide and maintain our systems, the venues and associate suppliers for your event, payment service providers, our accountants and if necessary our solicitors; plus any authority if required to by law, or if disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jones Hire Limited, our staff, customers and suppliers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Your rights

Marketing & Information updates

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes, such as using information you supply to us to provide you with new product announcements and other information we believe may be of interest to you (e.g. seasonal opening hours, and occasional key site updates), currently announced via our occasional newsletters. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processes by contacting props@rvhfloraldesign.com. We will then cease to process your data where the law allows as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days.

Access to information

You have the right to access information held about you, and can exercise this right in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Essential Cookies

These cookies are essential to the functionality of the site; they do not collect information about site visitors. They enable navigation around the site, to compile and save a Basket, and to recognise who you are if you are logged in. It is possible to disable essential cookies in your browser but the site (and most sites) will not function fully without them.

Google Analytics cookies

These cookies collect information about the way the site is used in order to monitor its performance; they are not able to identify users personally. This information includes the browsers used by our visitors, which pages are most visited, and which pages may be failing to load properly. Rob Van Helden Floral Design Ltd does not share any of the information collected in its cookies with any other party, or use it for any other reason than monitoring site performance.
